Life is good

You know those days when you feel like life is just plain good for no specific reason? Well, that's me today. :)

For no particular reason besides the fact that I have a flexible job. I had a meeting this morning in Oslo and therefore decided to work from home for the rest of the day. This means I'm sitting at my kitchen table, smelling the banana cake in the oven, listening to jango.com (a Pandora.com that works abroad!!), holding a cup of hot chai and watching the gray drizzly weather outside while writing this post. Not bad!

The only issue is that I've never been good at working from home... There is always something more interesting to do (note banana cake in oven) and therefore I get little done. Not that it is bad at the time I'm doing other stuff,  but it just means that stuff gets accumulated for other days (like just realizing that I have a proposal due and a class to teach on Friday...).

Ah, let's get back to the happy chatting, chai, and articles to review... ;o)

  1. Sounds like a good day. There's nothing better than a rainy day when you're warm and dry inside - especially if you have time to goof off a little bit.

  2. Glad you're having such a wonderful day and taking advantage of it. Banana cake and chai would be on the top of my list of things to eat right now. It sounds so wonderful. What work do you do in Norway?

  3. Hi Aman!
Thanks for your comment. I'm working as pos doc at a university in here in Norway. And that's why time is flexible :P

    Hi Gori!
I love being warm and dry inside... specially when it is pouring outside. One of the things I miss from developing countries is the sound of rain on the roof (in developed countries there seems to be too much sound insulation!).
